| About Technology 8 |
Welcome to the Technology 8 Course page. Within these pages you will take a walk through an array of material covering topics such as digital photography, graphing, and animation. You will also find current and past 8th grade projects including flash animations/movies. The Technology 8 course is a culmination of the Newton Technology curriculum. By this point in their young careers as students of Technology the students are comfortable with internet research, the outlining, writing and formatting of a word document, creation and presentation of a PowerPoint project, the manipulation of imagery to fit said paper or presentation, and many other topics. What the Technology 8 course seeks to accomplish is to reinforce those topics in new and exciting ways. As an example, students plan out (research) the photo they wish to take and later edit (manipulate) said photo for a Technology, Art, and PE Sports Photography project. In the Spring Semester, students storyboard and animate a walk through Washington, D.C. as part of their History/Technology project. I encourage you to take a look at the following pages, review the course material, browse the project pages, and as always I am open to feedback and any questions you may have.
