Welcome to the Technology 6 Course page. Sixth Grade Technology focuses on research, both in print and electronic form. In sixth grade students take a Library class, which affords them the opportunity to learn how to navigate the book shelves within the library, how to utilize various print and electronic resources, and the opportunity to explore. In the same tradition, Technology 6 seeks to teach students how to take a topic, research it, create notes, and put together a final presentation.

At the start of the year students work with Inspiration to creatively create outlines and idea maps for various types of work, including an outline for a website. They use that outline and Adobe Dreamweaver to create a website that is hosted on the school's intranet site. The website serves as a creative outlet for the students and as a site to host their work. The first assignment they post is their fourth quarter podcast project.
